CBL was established in 1993 as a center for repairing hard drives for distributors and OEMs. After two years, the main source of revenue growth for CBL was offering services to rescue lost files and information. By the end of 1995, CBL Technologies changed its name to CBL Data Recovery.

With over 15 years of experience in retrieving lost files and information and having successfully completed more than 140,000 recovery cases, CBL has the expertise and resources to quickly identify hard drive failures and effectively retrieve information.

To support their file retrieval work, CBL maintains an active and expanding inventory of over 30,000 hard drives, which they use on a daily basis.
